PLEASE DO NOT SKIP VOTING IN THE PRIMARY ELECTION!
Why? Because the Democratic Party Primary Election on July 21 will determine which
of the party's candidates advance to the November 3rd General Election.

But there is another reason why it is critically important that all Democrats vote in the upcoming Primary Election -- the SCOTTSDALE CITY COUNCIL ELECTION. In addition to all the partisan races, the Democratic Primary Election ballot will include eight candidates who are running in the City of Scottsdale's non-partisan City Council election in which three seats will be filled.
There are two reasons why it is extremely important for everyone to vote in the Scottsdale City Council election:
First, it is possible for one or more of the eight candidates running to be elected outright if they receive enough votes.
Second, even if no candidates are elected outright in July, the rules say that no more than six of the eight candidates can advance to the General Election in November. So it is vitally important that we all vote to ensure that our three preferred candidates are among the top vote-getters who will be included on the November General Election Ballot.
IMPORTANT: Electing two of our candidates is not enough. One way or the other, we must elect all three of our preferred candidates to break up the curent MAGA majority on City CouncIL. The only way that can happen is if ALL of us vote for Solange Whitehead, Ethan Knowlden and Raoul Zubia in the July 21 Primary Election.

IF YOU WILL BE OUT OF TOWN, YOU MUST REQUEST A TEMPORARY MAILING ADDRESS!
If you are going to be out of town during the July Primary, you must make special arrangements through the Maricopa County Recorder's Office to have your Active early Voting List (AEVL) mail-in ballot sent to a one-time temporary mailing address (any address other than your registered voter address).
The USPS will not hold an AEVL ballot or automatically forward it even if you have arranged with the Post Office to have your other mail held or forwarded. Ballots must be mailed directly from the County Recorder's office to the temporary address.
Because the early ballots will be mailed to voters on June 24, we strongly recommend that you request your Temporary Address Change no later than Wednesday, June 10 to be safe.
We also recommend that you make your Temporary Address Change request by phoning the Maricopa County Recorder's Office and speaking with an Elections Department employee. You can do this by calling 602-506-1511.
CHECK YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION
Before every election we urge everyone to check their voter registration status by signing in and checking your personal Voter Dashboard at BeBallotReady.vote It only takes a minute. There you can verify and if necessary make changes to your registration status, party affiliation and Active Early Voting List enrollment. You can also sign up the receive text and email alerts regarding you ballot and join the list to vote by mail. Your personal voter dashboard provides easy access to numerous other election-related resources. If you haven't already done so, we urge you to check it out.
INDEPENDENTS MUST REQUEST A PARTISAN BALLOT
To participate in primary elections, an Independent Voter must contact the County Recorder and specify which partisan ballot they would like to vote -- even if they already are on the Active Early Voter List.

PLEASE TRY TO VOTE WITHIN 72 HOURS OF RECEIVING YOUR BALLOT This will help all of our preferred candidates win!
